This is Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft. It is a gift for my friend :iconlodchen: =)

I´m happy that I managed to draw two pictures again, even though I´m very busy at the moment, because I have to study a lot! So it will probably continue that I can´t draw + submit pictures here, the only thing that will definitely come is another present later this month.
Apart from that, I hope you still like to watch out for new Deviations, even though I rarely submit these days, sorry :/
But I look forward to the time after my final exams, which will be around May/June and I will try to be more active then ^_^.

Feel free to check out my new tumblr art blog: android-sheep-art.tumblr.com/ :) you can find a photo of this work here!

So I hope you like it,
thanks a lot for the view. =)

I never would have thought Lara Croft would have such terrible trigger discipline. (Promotion photos from Tomb Raider are cringe-worthy...you're never supposed to have your finger on the trigger unless your sights are on the target and you are ready to fire.)

Anyway, about your drawing - you've done a really wonderful job here with your technique. Really nice smooth transitions with your shading and great detail work. Love the hair, the folds in her shirt, the belt. Beautiful spectrum varying between the bright white highlights and your deep, dark shadows. Just fantastic.
Your skin-tones could use more variety-- the problem comes from your reference photo having a black backdrop while you've chosen to do yours with stark white, which means you don't get that nice highlight outlining her silhouette and that illusion of roundness. There's some subtle discrepancy with the profile of her face, and I think you can chalk it up to that same highlight against the dark background really defining the shape in the photo. It's always difficult making that kind of transition from studio lit photographs to black and white traditional drawings, but you definitely have skill and it shows.
Keep up the good work!
